IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Our Roybal graduation ceremony starts right at 5pm. In order to ensure everything goes smooth, ensure you adhere to the following:
- Arrive by 3:00 p.m. No later.Graduates will be escorted to a special holding location inside the theater, so it is important that you arrive on time.
- Graduate entrance:Seniors will enter on the north side of the venue, which is to the right of the main entrance, located towards the back going towards the movie theaters.
- Guest entrance:All ticketed guests will enter through the main front doors of the theater only. These are the only doors guests will use.
- Do not bring a cell phone into the ceremony.Graduates will be searched, and phones will be confiscated if brought in. You will have to retrieve it at the end of the ceremony, which may delay you from meeting your family. Please avoid the risk of losing it or being pulled away from your family after the ceremony.
- Plan ahead with your family.Agree on a meeting location for after the ceremony. The venue will be crowded, so please make a plan before arriving so you know where you will meet up after the ceremony.
- Venue restrictions:The following items will not be allowed inside:
- Balloons
- Strollers
- Loud noise makers
- Large bags or backpacks
- Bag policy:The theater does not allow large backpacks or large bags. Small pouches or small bags are recommended. Guests will be searched upon entry.
- Doors will close at 4:59 p.m. for 15 minutesto prepare for the graduate procession. During this time, no guests will be allowed to enter so that all graduates can safely process in and take their seats. Guests who are not inside by this time will need to wait until all graduates are seated. Doors will reopen once all graduates are seated.
- Transportation:Carpooling or using Uber/Lyft is highly recommended, as there is a parking fee. If parking on site, the closest parking area is Lot W by the movie theater.
- Security will be presentinside and outside of the venue. Please remind your family members that this is a school-sponsored event, and all school policies apply.
- Guest behavior matters.Any adult who disrupts the ceremony may be asked to leave. Please encourage your family and guests to be respectful and allow every graduate to enjoy this special moment.
- This is a graduation ceremony, not a party.Any behavior by a graduate, on or off stage, that does not align with District policy will be addressed by administration. This may include documentation in student records and/or the withholding of the diploma. Do not put yourself in that position. You have made it this far. Make sure you and your family are able to enjoy a dignified, beautiful, and memorable ceremony.
