Welcome to 11th Grade English!

 

In 11th grade English, we embark on a journey through American literature, exploring the diverse voices and stories that have shaped our nation's literary heritage.  From classic texts, to contemporary works, this course will challenge you to think critically, analyze texts deeply, and express your ideas through writing and discussion.  Throughout the year, you will delve into themes of identity, culture, and the American dream while preparing for college-level reading and writing through a variety of assignments and assessments.

 

This class is designed to not only enhance your appreciation of literature, but also to prepare you for the academic challenges ahead.  I am excited to explore these works together and look forward to a year of growth and discovery!
