Course Description

Honors English Language Arts 10 is an accelerated, year-long course designed to challenge students through in-depth exploration of literature, writing, and critical thinking. The course builds on foundational skills while preparing students for advanced studies, emphasizing analytical reading, sophisticated writing, and nuanced discussion. Students will engage with complex texts across genres, including novels, plays, poetry, short stories, and non-fiction, analyzing themes such as identity, justice, and the human condition.

In addition to studying language, grammar, and style to refine their writing, students will craft argumentative essays, literary analyses, research papers, and creative works. Collaboration and discussion are integral components, fostering effective communication and academic discourse.
